2017 Environmental Grants

Grants in this area are focused on protecting wilderness areas and supporting grass-roots organizations that are involved in keeping our rivers, bays and coastal waters clean and safe.  The Foundation continues to support technical development in the area of landscape analysis and water quality monitoring that will benefit a broad range of conservation activities.  (Total grants $147,000)

Columbia Land Conservancy, Chatham, NY.  $10,000 to support their agriculture programs.

Conservation Law Foundation, Boston, MA.  $10,000 to support the New England Legal Food Hub.

Feather River Land TrustQuincy, CA.  $10,000 to support the transaction team.

League to Save Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, CA.  $2,000 to support the Community Education and Engagement Program.  

The Nature ConservancySan Francisco, CA.  $15,000 to support the NatureNet Science Fellows program.  

Peninsula Open Space TrustPalo Alto, CA.  $10,000 to support the Farmland Futures Intiative.

Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy, Stanford, CA.  $10,000 to support post doc work on radiative cooling for medical storage.

Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment, Stanford, CA.  $15,000 to support the Codiga Resource Recovery Center.

Surfrider FoundationSan Clemente, CA.  $15,000 to support the Smartfin program.

Truckee Donner Land TrustTruckee, CA.  $10,000 to support campsite improvements at Webber Lake.

The Trust for Public LandSan Francisco, CA.  $15,000 to support the Sierra Nevada Conservation Program.
