2019 Education Grants

Grants in this area are focused primarily on improving research opportunities for science students.  Additionally, the Foundation supports medical training in the areas of rural practice and humanism.  The Foundation also supports programs to improve high school science education and college campus student safety.  (Total grants $187,000)

Arnold P. Gold FoundationEnglewood, NJ.  $20,000 to support the Picker Gold Graduate Medical Education Challenge Grant Program.

Bowdoin CollegeBrunswick, ME.  $10,000 to support summer internships in business and government.

The Clery Center for Security On CampusKing Of Prussia, PA.  $15,000 to support the Center's internship program.  

Columbia UniversityNew York, NY.  $20,000 for a summer fellowship to the Summer Research Program for secondary school science teachers.

Dartmouth CollegeHanover, NH.  $20,000 to support undergraduate leave-term scientific research. 

Dartmouth Medical SchoolLebanon, NH.  $10,000 to support the Rural Health Scholars Program.

Golden State Youth OrchestraPalo Alto, CA. $1,000 for general support.

Ignited, Santa Clara, CA.  $10,000 to support their summer research program for secondary school science teachers.

Manhattan Theatre Club, New York, NY.  $5,000 to support their education programs.  

10,000 DegreesSan Francisco, CA.  $5,000 to support the the Meritus College Fund program.

Oklahoma State University FoundationStillwater, OK.  $10,000 to support the Native Explorers and Native OKstars programs.

Roundabout Theater Company, New York, NY.  $10,000 to support their education programs.

Science Friday InitiativeNew York, NY.  $5,000 for general program support.

The Sylvia Center, New York, NY.  $5,000 development and launch of the Teen Culinary Apprenticeship Alumni Network.

Union of Concerned ScientistsCambridge, MA.  $10,000 to support the Science Network and development of early career scientists.

University of Nebraska FoundationOmaha, NE.  $20,000 to support scholarships for the Accelerated Family Practice Residency Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
